Zharkyn Omarbekov
Zharkyn was raised in Semey, Kazakhstan. He
graduated from the Semey State University and College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1993 and followed in his father's
footsteps by becoming a Veterinarian. In December, 1999 Zharkyn,
his wife, Zhannat, and daughter, Aidana, moved to Houston.
Zharkyn joined the SBAC team in January, 2001
and enjoys his position because he is dedicated to saving and
nurturing animals. He is also currently in the process of
obtaining his Veterinary License here in the United States.

Jessica Flores
Jessica has lived in Pasadena, TX her whole
life. She attended Pasadena High School and has taken classes at
both San Jacinto Community College and the Vet Tech Institute.
Jessica joined the SBAC team in December, 2007.
She enjoys hanging out with her three Pit Bull
Terriers, Ace, Momma, and Tork. Jessica also has a black and
white cat named Oscar.

Ashley Ardoin
Ashley grew up in Pasadena, TX and has always
had a strong desire to work in the veterinary field. After
completing some basic courses at San Jacinto Community College,
she decided to continue her education at the Vet Tech Institute.
She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program with an
Associate's Degree in February, 2009 and plans to take the tests
to become a registered technician in June, 2009. Ashley first
joined the SBAC team as an assistant in June, 2008. She then
went on to complete her externship for school here in
January-February, 2008 and is now a technician.
During her time away from SBAC, Ashley hangs out
with her animal friends which consist of one dog, three cats, a
ferret, and a conure.

Deni Hohmann
Deni has lived in the Houston area for most of
her life. She graduated from Hastings High School in 2007 and
then attended the Vet Tech Institute where she received an
Associate's degree of Applied Science in February, 2009. Deni
also plans to take the examination to become a registered
veterinary technician in June, 2009.
Deni first came to SBAC for her externship in
January, 2009 and we convinced her to remain on our team after
she completed the externship. She has two cats, Bandit and Lucy,
a rat named Sneezle, three turtles, Dax, Delilah, and Tortuga,
and a Pug named Lily.
